Part-time Contract Basis
BUILDING SURVEYORS
Space Database is seeking experienced building surveyors for projects on a part-time contract basis.
Job Description:
Conduct on-site surveys with a hand-held laser measurement device and create architectural as-built floor plans in AutoCAD . The plans are created in the field on a mobile computer. Experience in building survey work is required. Knowledge of BOMA measurement standards is considered a significant asset. Top candidates will be required to perform a survey and CAD drafting test as part of the interview process.
Candidates should have technical education or training in a field related to:
- Architecture
- Engineering
- Land survey
- Interior design
Other Requirements:
- Survey equipment: field laptop/tablet, AutoCAD software, laser distance meter (Leica DISTO or equivalent)
- Excellent AutoCAD skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills in English
- Personal vehicle to travel to job sites
- Good photography skills
